Two weeks tour through Northern Mongolia, mostly through the Khuvsgul province and its natural reserves. You will spend most of the time riding along the lake as well as trekking and visiting historical monuments. The trip will start with a city tour then to Khuvsgul province and ends after an excursion to Terelj National Park.
The tour starts with arrival at Ulaanbaatar and transfers to the accommodated hotel. Begin the Ulaanbaatar city tour including Sukhbaatar Square, Gandan Monastery, and the National History Museum. Stay overnight in the hotel. (L/D)
Get on a flight to Murun city, the capital of Khuvsgul province. Go on a horseback tour and ride to 'Deer Stones' that dates back to Bronze Age Mongolia is rich with monuments and heritage sites. You will spend the night in a tent. (B/L/D)
Ride to small Erkhel Lake and spend another night in the tent. (B/L/D)
Continue the horse-riding trip to Egiin Gol, a river in the Khuvsgul and Bulgan provinces in northern Mongolia. You will get to visit a horse-breeding family on the way and stay the night in a ger. (B/L/D)
Riding to Khatgal, the largest town in Khuvsgul Region and will be a great spot to start your journey through Mongolian Switzerland. (B/L/D)
Riding through the forest to Khuvsgul Lake. Then arrive at the ger camp and stay overnight. (B/L/D)
On this day, you will be trekking in the beautiful surroundings of Khuvsgul Lake. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and stay overnight in a ger. (B/L/D)
For the next two days, the riding continues along the lake and through the forest. Overnight stay in a tent.. (B/L/D)
We will drive back to Murun city and visit the local museum to learn about the historic highlights. You will be accommodated in a local hotel for the night. (B/L/D)
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar city and check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day free. Stay overnight in the hotel. (B/L/D)
Back in the city center, you will visit Gandan Monastery- the center of Lamaist Buddhism in Mongolia and drive to Terelj National Park - exploring the scenic mountain areas abundant with edelweiss fields. Horse riding in Terelj for the day and staying overnight in a ger. (B/L/D)
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and will spend the free time free. The evening performance is arranged and you will stay overnight in the hotel. (B/L/D)
Last Day, you will be transferred to the airport for departure.
Shared double accommodation in a decent middle-class hotel in Ulaanbaatar, night stays in Mongolian ger and tents, entire board, all transfers, entrance fees, domestic flights, rental of horses and riding gear, the services of a guide, a cook (for a group) and horse-guide.
