Central Mongolia Horseback riding tour is designed for travelers who love to explore the wild nature and visit top tourist attractions in the country in an equestrian style. The journey takes place for two weeks on the road to different excursions while staying in the countryside in the traditional Mongolian ger.
The tour starts with arrival at Ulaanbaatar and transfers to the accommodated hotel. Visit National History Museum in the city center and stay overnight in the hotel. (L/D)
Drive to Tsetserleg, the center of Arkhangai province, and stay the night in ger camp. (B/L/D)
We will drive to the National park Khorgo and start the horseback riding tour. Spend the afternoon riding near the camp area and stay overnight in the ger. (B/L/D)
Next few days, you will be exploring several famous rivers and tourist attractions in the region. The equestrian journey will start with a ride to Taiga Forest – The Alpine region, then to Terkh White Lake, followed by Khodoo Aral. Continue the journey to the Gichgene river. You will visit Khorgo Volcano Mountain, Terkhiin Tsagaan (White Lake), the ruin of Tariat Monastery, Canyon River, and horse and yak breeders on the way and stay the nights in tents. (B/L/D)
Today we will drive to Tsenkher Hot Spring via Tsetserleg. You will stay the night overnight in ger. (B/L/D)
Drive to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the ancient Mongolian empire. Start the excursion to the Orkhon river and sleep in a ger. (B/L/D)
Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, and stay overnight in a ger. (B/L/D)
Last day of the tour, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and enjoy the evening freely. Stay overnight in the checked hotel. (B/L/D)
