This short yet one of the most special trips to Mongolia is only available in the beginning of the year depending on the Lunar calendar of each year. You will get to visit historic museums and watch the national art and wrestling match that celebrates the Lunar Year throughout the country. The highlight of the journey will be in the countryside with a visit to a nomad family of a breeder and spend the day celebrating the New Year with them.
The tour starts with arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Transfer to the accommodated hotel and visit the Gandan Monastery, the center of Buddhism in Mongolia. Then visit the national wrestling match organized specially for the occasion of Lunar Year. You will have Lunar New Year’s Eve Gala dinner and stay overnight in the hotel.
Drive to the countryside and visit a breeder's family. Spend the day experiencing the authentic Lunar year celebration in the nomad family with the family. In the evening, drive back to Ulaanbaatar and sleep overnight in hotel.
Sightseeing tour on day 3 in the downtown starts with a visit to the Chingis Khan Museum and to the Fine Art Museum. Enjoy the evening performance and stay the last night in the hotel.
