One of the oldest and most revered spectacular celebrations for Kazakh people, passed down from generation to generation, is Hunting with specially trained eagles. It exhibits the real pride of the Kazakhs. The Kazakhs live in the western area of Mongolia in the majestic Altai Mountains, surrounded by river glaciers and the beautiful landscape of Bayan-Ulgii province.
The tour starts with arrival at Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, and transfer to the hotel. Begin the city sightseeing tour, including the most famous spots of the Sukhbaatar square, Gandan Monastery and the Chingis Khaan Museum. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Get on a flight to Ulgii. The capital of Bayan-Ulgii province. Drive to the camping site in the Altai Soum and spend the overnight in tents.
Following two days, we’ll take the horses and ride through the beautiful landscapes of the Altai Mountain Range. Visit a Kazakh herder’s family to see their life and culture, listen to their songs and observe them hunting with eagles. Overnight in gers and in tents.
Drive back to Ulgii and get on a flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Stay overnight in the checked hotel.
Visit the Winter Palace Museum of Bogd Khan and take a trip to Terelj National Park - exploring the scenic mountain areas abundant with edelweiss fields. Trekking in the mountain areas and sleep overnight in a ger camp.
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy the rest of the day free and stay overnight in the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
