You will spend a decent amount of time enjoying the view and bird watching in the region Khovd. The highlights of the tour include Ulaanbaatar city tour and its attractions, and Khar Us, Chono Kharayh, Khar Nuur and Khukh Serkhiin Nuruu in the Western region.
The tour starts with arrival at Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, and transfer to the hotel. Begin the city sightseeing tour, including the most famous spots of the Sukhbaatar square, Gandan monastery and the Chingis Khaan Museum. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Flight to Khovd city. Trip to Khar Us Lake which is translated as Blackwater Lake is also the second-largest freshwater lake in Mongolia. Excursion to Chono Kharayh River which has an elevation of 1130 meters. You will stay overnight in a tent.
Trip to Khar Lake, located in Zavkhan province and suitable for bird watching around this turquoise blue lake. Stay overnight in a tent.
Continue the trip to Khukh Serkhiin Nuruu National Park, a strictly protected area, located on the border of Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii. This area is famous for the world’s largest concentration of the endangered mountain sheep known as Argali. Enjoy the day bird watching and hiking, then stay overnight in tents.
Drive back to Khovd city and enjoy bird watching on the way. Sleep overnight in a tent.
Get on a flight back to Ulaanbaatar city and check into the hotel.
Visit the Winter Palace Museum of Bogd Khan and enjoy evening performances. Stay the night in the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
