Two-week tour around Central Mongolia, you will get to see five famous rivers and freshwater lakes in the region as well as fishing and experience some water activities along the shores. The highlight of the tour focuses on the trip to biggest freshwater lake and extinct Volcanos and lava caves located in Arkhangai province.
The tour starts with arrival at Ulaanbaatar and transfers to the accommodated hotel. Go on an Ulaanbaatar city tour, and visit National History Museum. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Drive to Ogii Nuur, a freshwater lake with an area of 25 km on the way to visit the sand dune. Stay overnight in Mongolian ger for an authentic nomad experience.
Continue the Ogii Lake tour with magnificent views and scenery around the camp, we will reach the lake and start fishing during sunset.
Excursion to Orkhon River and spend the night in the tent.
Day 5-6
We will leave for Khorgo Volcano Mountain. It is a wonderful place with extinct volcanoes and fantastic natural caves. Overnight stay in the tent near the Tamir River and in ger camps at Khorgo National Park.
Following two days, we will spend some time fishing in the Terkhiin Tsagaan (White Lake). It is a freshwater lake that takes its source from the Khangai ranges. This lake lies at an altitude of 2060 m and covers an area of 61 sq. km, with a length of 16 km, a width of 4-10 km, and a depth of 20 m. You can try fishing in the Gichgene River. Overnight stay in the tent near the lake or river shore.
Next two days, we will get on a trip to Kharkhorin. the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. On the way, we will stay overnight and stay in tents. On the evening of day 12, arrive at Kharkhorin city and will visit the famous Erdene Zuu Monastery. Accommodated to a ger camp for the night.
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and check into the hotel.
Today, you will get to visit Gandan Monastery, the center of Lamaist Buddhism in Mongolia, and also visit the Winter palace museum of Bogd Khan. Spend the night free and stay overnight in the hotel.
Transfer to the airport.
Shared double accommodation in a decent middle-class hotel in Ulaanbaatar, night stays in gers and tents, full board, all transfers, the services of a guide and cook, and fishing fees.
