Meeting at the office of Tsolmon Travel. Your journey begins with the one and half-hour-long flight to Murun city, the capital of Khuvsgul province. Upon arrival in Murun, you will drive to the ger camp near Khuvsgul lake. Travelers will be accommodated to a Ger camp for the night and the rest of the day is free of schedule. The venue of the stay will remain the same while in Khuvsgul.  

You will start the day trekking around Mongolia’s largest freshwater lake Khuvsgul, you may request to rent horses or motorboats. Travelers can wander through the Taiga Forest, the motherland of Reindeer herders known as Tsaatan. Getting to know their nomadic lifestyle and relationship with the reindeer will help you understand the uniqueness of the culture. 

 After having the local breakfast, we will hit the road on the way to Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park. On the way you will stay overnight in a Ger camp in Jargalant soum, which is located on the banks of the Khunjil and Ider rivers. Stay overnight in ger camp. 

After arriving at the national park, you will visit a local family and spend the day with them in a nomadic way. The highlights of the stay will include breeding Yak and tasting the dairy products made with Yak milk.  You will spend another night in Ger camp nearby.

Finally, it’s time to start the excursion to the freshwater of Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur (White Lake), which you may rent a water boat to cover around. Climb to the Khorgo extinct volcano and see the spectacular mountain view from the crater. You may spend the rest of the evening swimming in the lake, sightseeing or horse riding and will sleep in the same camp.

 After breakfast, on the way to Ikh Tamir soum in Arkhangai province, we will pass by beautiful 20 meters deep canyon river called Chuluut. Then will drive further to the next stop, visit the 20 meters high Taikhar rock and stay overnight in Ger camp.

 A new day starts with a drive to Kharkhorin, the capital of the Mongolian empire in the 13th century. Tsetserleg, the capital of Arkhangai province. Excursion to Orkhon river followed by short trekking around the scenery and stay the night in Ger camp.

The last phase of the trip will begin with a visit to the first ever Buddhist monastery in Mongolia – Erdene Zuu and the Kharkhorin museum. After lunch, we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune which is a combination of mountain, forest and Gobi Desert landscapes that occur together to create a spectacular scenery. In addition, you will also visit the Uvgun Khiid monastery, Shaman rock attractions and will stay overnight in Ger camp.

 We will drive to the Terelj National Park via Ulaanbaatar. The National Park’s most spectacular features are its huge granite blocks and cliffs as well as meadows rich in wildflowers. It is a must-visit destination for both locals and foreigners due to its magnificent alpine scenery. The accommodation for the destination will remain the same in the Ger during the stay.

One more free day in the rocky mountain area. In the National Park, there are many must-visit attractions, and you will visit the famous Turtle-shaped rock and the Aryabal meditation temple for a magnificent view.

After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the accommodation.
