The highlight of the trip focuses on the must-visit travel destinations around Central Mongolia that can be reached without spending hours on the vast road. You will get to visit the historical places in the city, then to the famous Terelj National Park, sand dunes, and Ogii lake, which is one of the freshest water lakes in the country known for birdwatching, fishing, and sightseeing.
The tour will begin with arrival at Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, by checking in to the hotel. City sightseeing includes the most famous spots of the Sukhbaatar square, Gandan monastery, and the National History Museum. Overnight in hotel (L/D)
The second day starts with a drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune which is a combination of mountain, forest, and Gobi Desert landscapes that occur together to create spectacular scenery. With the excursion to the Hogno Khan mountain, you will visit the Erdene Khamba monastery. After visiting the small sand dune there, travelers will stay overnight in Ger Camp during the trip. (B/L/D)
On this day, you will visit Ogii Lake located in Arkhangai province in Central Mongolia. Explore the lakeside and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset with some fishing and sailing activities along with the freshwater. During these two days in Ogii Nuur soum, you will be visiting the household of a horse breeder and allowed to ride a Mongolian horse for an authentic nomadic experience. Overnight in Ger Camp. Drive to Kharkhorin city which was the capital of the ancient Mongolian empire. You will visit the first-ever Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, Erdene Zuu. After an excursion to the Orkhon River and a visit to a horse-breeding family. After some fun followed by short trekking around the scenery, go back to the Ger camp for the night. (B/L/D)
Today we will drive back to Terelj National Park via Ulaanbaatar. Spend the day exploring the scenic rocky mountain areas, Walking and trekking, and stay overnight in Ger Camp. (B/L/D)
In the morning, you can enjoy the surreal nature and drive back to Ulaanbaatar after lunch. After arriving back in the city, you have free time and join the Evening performance. Stay in the checked hotel for the night.
Last day of the trip end with departure to the airport.
