For the first time since 2019, filmmakers and their clients from the tourism industry had the opportunity to be back together during ITB in Berlin to receive various prizes. The Golden City Gate is one of the most renowned film competitions for the tourism industry worldwide and proud to be back in Berlin after 3 years of Corona.

This year, we were again able to evaluate almost 100 entries from over 20 countries that applied for the Golden City Gate Award. Among others, the following took part: United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Spain, Turkey, Namibia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, USA, Switzerland, India, Mongolia, and Germany. Many of the submitted films and multimedia contributions convinced the jury in terms of quality and can now be awarded in the various categories.

A special prize goes to the Dominican Republic for the implementation of a promotional gala in Berlin's Adlon Hotel. The German festival contributions are characterized in particular by their emotional implementation and the topic of sustainability.

The films submitted this year were convinced with a lot of creativity and artistic professionalism. There are indications that the classic tourism film is increasingly developing into its own art form. We will have to observe this development over the next few years, but it shows that the art of film is claiming its own outstanding place even in today's age of maximum digitization.

Tsolmon Travel's project "Roads of Mongolia", a short film, was nominated for the TV Travel Magazine International Category and won first place in the competition.
