If you are an adventure traveler who likes to challenge yourself, this tour is right for you. The journey will focus on famous travel attractions in Arkhangai province such as the Ancient Buddhist monastery, Terkhiin Tsagaan freshwater Lake, Chuluut canyon river as well as Tsenkher natural Springs for relaxation. You can go trekking around Khorgo volcano mountain and through the sand dune.
This tour will begin with arrival at Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, by checking in to the hotel. City sightseeing includes the most famous spots of Sukhbaatar square, Gandan monastery, and the Chingis Khaan Museum. (L/D)
The next day, we will drive to Kharkhorin - the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, to visit a horse breeding family and stay overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)
You will visit the first-ever Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, Erdene Zuu. In the afternoon, we will drive to Tsetserleg and visit the Natural Museum of Arkhangai province which is famous for its historical hall and ethnographical exhibitions. Trip to Terkhiin Tsagaan (White Lake) - a freshwater lake that takes its source from the Khangai Mountain ranges and lies at an altitude of 2060 m, covering an area of 61 sq. km. This lake area includes a small island. Visit a herdsman’s family, which keeps Yaks and horses. You may try riding horses and yaks, to try the milk products of yaks. Overnight in ger camp. (B/L/D)
Excursion to the extinct volcano Khorgo Mountain. Trekking through the amazingly beautiful place with extinct volcanoes and fantastic lava caves. Overnight in ger. (B/L/D)
Day trip to the canyon river Chuluut. You can try riding Mongolian horses, yaks, and fishing. You will stay overnight in Ger Camp. (B/L/D)
Drive to Tsenkher Natural Springs via Tsetserleg and explore the area. (B/L/D)
You can get in the Tsenkher hot springs or take a bath. You can spend the evening relaxing and sleep in Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune which is a combination of mountain, forest, and Gobi Desert landscapes that occur together to create spectacular scenery. You will stay in a Mongolian traditional ger camp for the night. (B/L/D)
You can spend the morning trekking in the sand dune. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon and accommodated in a hotel in Ulaanbaatar city. (B/L/D)
